What an errand costs in Nairobi
Errands start at KES 300. The price covers the running — a runner's time and travel. Anything they buy on your behalf is settled on top and agreed before the errand starts.

Area surcharges
Areas are priced as rings out from the CBD. An errand is charged for the furthest ring it touches, not for both ends added together — a short hop inside an outer area should not cost more than the run out to it.
More than one stop
An errand with several stops adds KES 150 to the service price. Describe the round in the instructions when you post it so the runner knows the order before accepting.
Paying
You pay once the errand is completed. The completion text tells you the amount and where to send it — our M-Pesa till, or the runner directly by M-Pesa or cash. You confirm payment on the errand page and it closes.
Pricing questions
Is the price I see the price I pay?
Yes, for the errand itself. The full price — service, area surcharge and any multi-stop fee — is shown before you confirm, and it does not change afterwards. Money the runner spends buying things for you is separate and agreed before the run.
When do I pay for an errand?
After it is done. When the runner completes the errand you get an SMS with the amount and where to send it, by M-Pesa or cash. Nothing is charged up front.
Why do some errands have no price until later?
An errand that starts or ends outside our named areas has no automatic price, so admin quotes it before a runner is sent. You see the quote and agree to it before the job goes out.
How is the area surcharge calculated?
By the furthest area the errand touches, not by adding both ends together. A run between two points in the same outer area costs the same surcharge as a run from the CBD out to it.
